We’d like to introduce our new puppy, Poppy.

Pines Hovawart black and gold puppy

Born on October 19, 2014, her mother is Pines Ankhet of Quincebois (Freya), who was one of the “Egyptian” litter, from Orchid and DJ.

We didn’t keep any puppies from that litter, although they have proved very successful, with three of the siblings winning Best of Sex at the club show (Harvey 3 times), and a fourth winning Best Puppy.  Poppy’s father is Boomer vom Kesseltal, who is a German dog successful at IPO (the new “word” for Schutzhund), so with Orchid and her father Adson von Grossen Woog (similarly qualified) on her mother’s side, Poppy is a feisty little girl, with just the working potential Elaine is looking for. Adding to this, she is well marked, with good bone and strong well placed limbs, and with Acorn failing to produce a litter, it was really a no brainer for us.

She is called Poppy because of the wonderful display at The Tower of London, and the wartime anniversaries that were being highlighted about the time of her birth.

She was bred by Nick & Helen Boisseau, and has a sister, kept by Nick & Helen, and six brothers.

Busy days ahead!
